INTRO FOR INSTRUCTORS [not to be included on site]:
It may be helpful to divide your class into four teams, one for each other thread/question except the final one which will be introduced and completed as an entire group. In this way, each student gets to be one of/the first to post in a thread. Otherwise, students who are faster at reading, planning, and writing could post in three while another student has the unfortunate luck of only being able to "like" other students' submissions. Suggestion: Set a certain amount of time for teams to read and post; share this time with students, and when only a minute remains, let students know to finish up and post something in response to the initial prompt. When time is up, students are then able to read other threads and engage with those ideas for however long you choose.
INTRO FOR STUDENTS:
This Chat: Heroes, Assemble space is for all of us to share our thoughts on some tricky questions, questions that don't have single right answers. Each chat room has its own question which is listed on the top of the page, with its title and photo.
You may add your own original response to the question by clicking the light blue "Create new post" button at the bottom of the page. You can also comment on another student's earlier post; just click the title and, when the new page opens, add your feedback in the empty text box.
If you find something really cool that you want to share that isn't in text form, press the camera icon to add an image and the camcorder icon to add a video. You can even like earlier posts by clicking the heart icon.
May we all hack health, live long, and prosper :-)
